The ELT-60 steam kettle operates on an electrically powered self-generating closed steam system. The lower 2/3 of the unit feature a steam jacket design where distilled water is heated to evenly cook the contents inside the kettle. This method eliminates hot spots that are common when using a stock pot and range.
This heavy-duty kettle is NSF certified and extremely durable. It’s constructed out of 304 stainless steel with a #4 finish that’s guaranteed to stand up in high traffic kitchens. The liner of this model is made from 316 stainless steel to protect against the effects of cooking with highly acidic contents. It’s supported on a sturdy 1.62” diameter stainless steel frame with adjustable feet that can be secured to the floor for added safety. The ELT-60 also has the convenient ability to tilt forward a full 90° in order to completely empty its contents.
The steam kettle operates in a temperature range of 165°F to 285°F that’s controlled from the drip-proof console welded to the unit.
