Effortlessly prepare fruits and vegetables for any dish with the elegantly designed and handcrafted Zwilling Miyabi 5000 FCD Kaizen II 4.5" Paring Knife.
This stunning Japanese blade features an FC61 super steel core that helps make it incredibly sharp. It has 48 outer layers of stainless steel that wrap the core creating the unique Damascus design and wavy katana edge.
This FRIODUR twice ice-hardened blade has a Rockwell hardness of approximately 61, so you can be confident in the knife's strength, stability, and resistance to corrosion.
The Miyabi 4.5" paring knife has also been hand-finished using the 3-step Honbazuke method. This traditional Japanese honing method delivers an extremely sharp and symmetrical cutting edge with an angle between 9.5 and 12 degrees.
The ergonomically shaped handle is made from black pakka wood and is finished with an elegant mosaic pin and end cap. It provides you with a comfortable grip that allows for excellent control while reducing fatigue.
The paring knife is a small and lightweight knife ideal for cutting, peeling, and seeding smaller sized fruits and vegetables.
This Miyabi paring knife is part of the Kaizen collection, which is Japanese for "improvement" or "change for the better." The series has been updated and uses the latest technology to combine sleek, modern lines with traditional concepts from centuries of knife-making artistry.
