Effortlessly prepare just about anything with the beautifully designed and handcrafted Shun VB0723 Sora 6” Chef’s Knife.
This stunning 6-inch blade uses Shun’s Composite Blade Technology to combine a VG10 san mai steel cutting core with a layer of Japanese 420J stainless steel on either side to provide you with a high-performance knife.
This Shun Sora chef’s knife also features a wavy pattern along the edge of the blade that gives it a unique and attractive look.
The knife has a traditional Japanese handle made from a textured blend of PP/TPE, or thermoplastic elastomer, which is a durable and lightweight material that provides an outstanding grip and easy maintenance.
Design and Use
Also referred to as a gyuto, this Shun Sora knife is the Japanese equivalent to the chef’s knife. It’s incredibly versatile making it ideal for preparing all types of meat, fish, and vegetables in any number of ways.
Though it has less of a curve than a traditional chef’s knife, the Sora makes contact with much more of the cutting board allowing you to cut more food with every slice.
