The Samura Damascus Chef Knife has everything a serious chef's knife should have: extremely sharp, durable, beautiful and easy to use, made from premium materials. The Japanese steel blade is produced according to the ancient Damascus technology with the use of modern achievements in metallurgy. The VG-10 high carbon steel core is hardened to 61 HRC for excellent cut and edge stability, while the Damascus sheaths (67 layers in total) provide overall knife strength, corrosion resistance, kink resistance and a beautiful blade pattern. The Chef's Knife is razor-sharp on 5000 grit waterstones at a minimal angle and rarely needs to be sharpened.
The antibacterial metal bolster is integral with the blade and prevents the accumulation of bacteria at the joints of the structure, and also provides an optimal balance of the structure. The handle made of fiberglass G-10 does not slip in the hand, is not afraid of high temperatures and shocks, aggressive environments, retains its original appearance throughout the entire service life.
