General purpose kitchen knife from the Samura 67 Damascus collection is made of premium materials using ancient Damascus technology and combines high quality with unpretentious care. The blade core is made of V-Gold 10 high carbon steel with the addition of chromium, molybdenum, vanadium, cobalt. This is a solid (61 units on the Rockwell scale) and strong base, the only drawback of which could be considered low corrosion resistance. But this problem is solved by linings made of more elastic stainless steels - 33 layers on each side. As a result, the blade turns out to be incredibly thin, strong and sharp, with a unique pattern on the side edges, keeps sharpening for a record long time and does not require frequent processing with abrasives. A special sharpening paper is also supplied with the knife, which will keep the blade sharp for as long as possible. Processing does not take much time and does not require effort.
The handle of the Samura knife looks like natural black wood. In fact, it is a more durable and wear-resistant material - micarta. This is a composite that is completely hygroscopic - it does not absorb moisture, pollution and odors, does not wear out and does not deform over time, and is not affected by temperature extremes. A reliable “fultang” mounting method was also used - the steel shank of the blade passes through the handle, and the micarta facings are fixed with 3 rivets. The surface is sandblasted and has anti-slip properties.
