Lots of fun

I bake semi-professionally, and am always looking for new experiences. The Ooni has provided just that; so far, pizze and flatbreads have been produced in my new Ooni. My only reservation about the wood-fired Ooni is that it's messier than I expect the gas-powered ones are: namely, whenever I pop the door open to check the stone temp or rotate a pizza, flames shoot out the back. Not for long this happens, but enough to leave some soot buildup and discoloration.

Great little oven, pizza are amazing

I highly recommend an infrared thermometer going to 1000F to use this oven. Wait the temperature of the center of the stone is at 900F to cook. Be aware it's the real thing so it's cooking fast. Be ready to rotate the pizza with a BBQ spatula after 30 seconds!

The pizza are amazing. Sure the pellets version is a bit more trouble vs the gas version but the taste is better. If you want, you can retrofit the ooni gas burner (not officially supported but it works) and use the best method for the time you have available.

absolutely love this oven! Would be great to add a carrying case with it. I will be ordering. You certainly need to wait and be patient for the temp to stabilize, if not charred pizza's!!!
