Durable Blade

This unique 8-inch blade is made from the Japanese AUS10A, a high-carbon, vanadium stainless steel that features a razor-sharp edge that lasts. The rustic Heritage finish hides scratches and keeps your knife looking great use after use.

Comfortable Grip

The knife is equipped with a contoured handle made from tagayasan/wenge wood that offers an easy and comfortable grip. Its full tang construction also helps with balance and control when cutting and slicing.

Design and Use

Also referred to as a gyuto, this Shun Kanso knife is the Japanese equivalent to the chef’s knife. It’s incredibly versatile making it ideal for preparing all types of meat, fish, and vegetables in any number of ways.

With a flatter design towards the heel and a rounder edge near the middle and tip, this knife can be used in both a push cut and rocking motion.

    Good deal - great blade edge

    This is my first Japanese steel-bladed chef's knife. I use it for home use and I extremely happy with the blade's edge, and the ability to put a sharpened edge back on when needed. For the price, I thought it was a good deal considering the cost of very high-end chef's knives.
