Description
Rapidly freeze foods while minimizing damage to the product with the Nella 26” 3-Tray Blast Chiller.
Blast chillers are designed to drastically lower food temperatures to safe levels in just minutes by rapidly circulating cold air throughout the chamber. They can accomplish this significantly faster than traditional refrigerators and freezers, that can take hours to sufficiently freeze a product. Blast chillers are also known to produce fewer and smaller ice crystals on products while also minimizing bacterial growth on food since it’s chilled much quicker.
This blast chiller is constructed out of a durable stainless steel to prevent rust and corrosion and features a glossy finish inside. A simple electronic key pad gives you complete control over the different settings such as hard/soft cycles, freezing, defrosting, and more. Interior grid racks are also removable for easy cleaning.
Blast Chillers cool food rapidly by circulating cold air through the unit until temperature falls down to safe levels. These units are designed to quickly lower the temperature of foods to minimize bacterial growth ensuring food down through the danger zone within minutes compared to the hours it takes when stored in a refrigerator. Blast chillers also offer an advantage over traditional freezer by rapid freezing the food which produces fewer and smaller ice crystal resulting with minimal damage to the food. This improves the frozen food's texture once it is reheated. Although they are typically more expensive than traditional refrigerators, they are mostly used in hotels, restaurants, and food operation business.
